The boulder will fall and net you around 2,000 runes. The trick is to bait this boulder to fall off the cliff next to its spawn point, which involves pulling a hairpin turn with Torrent. As you ride down this archway, a boulder will spawn behind you and attempt to run you over.

Behind the church is a hidden teleporter that takes you directly to the Bestial Sanctum in Caelid. You’ll first need to find the Third Church of Marika just North of Mistwood in Limgrave. The first of two trips to the rot-infested region known as Caelid, this farming spot is perhaps the most well-known for the early to mid game. Before you even fight Margit, you can level yourself up to level 20 or 30 this way. You’ll net 5,000 runes per run, and the nearby Site of Grace is convenient for quickly getting back into the action. Explore Stormhill to find five giants who each drop 1,000 runes. You can access this area by going up the main Stormveil Castle path, just before the heavily guarded entrance.
